Avoca is an award-winning company that designs and markets systems with new and powerful user interfaces, based on our Voice Control & Search Technology (VCST). The Avoca VIP™ family is one of our offerings, a family of solutions that deliver Voice Multi-modal Interfaces (VMI) in residential systems.

Avoca's vision is to make voice activation (voice search and voice control) available to users of advanced digital entertainment systems. We give users more power than ever to search music and media collections and select what they want, when they want it, with a simply superior user interface.

Advanced lighting, speaker and security systems can also be managed and controlled. Avoca VIP™ control functions are voice independent, so once installed anyone can use the system to manage and control electronic devices.

Our team includes expertise in voice-enabled user input design, wireless systems and handheld devices, silicon design, complex algorithms, product and project management. In December 2007 Avoca was chosen among early stage companies as one of the 2007-2008 award winners in the competition for Canada's Top 10 Technology Companies. This competition is organized annually by OCRI, the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation.
